The workshops in Staveley village near Kendal are consistently the most popular and well attended dance sessions held in Cumbria. The workshops are typically held at least once per month on a Saturday, dates may vary.

Room 1: Rock n Roll, Swing, Jive
Room 2: Ballroom & Latin

There are two rooms of simultaneous classes taught by Bill and James Reeder. The main room facilitates the Ballroom and Latin dance sessions; the second room is used for the other dance styles we offer, such as Rock n Roll, Swing, Jive, Charleston, Paso doble or Flamenco. These are the only workshops of this kind in Cumbria. Dance workshops would typically only have a single class at time and not have any kind of choice.
Depending due to time constraints both rooms may be combined into a single group for the final session.

The 3 hour workshops duration is typically split into three sessions with breaks between each session for coffee and homemade cake, which is provided. The break between each class also gives the opportunity to choose the room for the next choice of dance style.
We have many dancers who come without dance partners that will take leader and follower roles in addition to our teachers and assistants partner dancers in all the classes.

The classes will consist of short routines, with a high focus on the intricacies and nuances of dance technique, which offers something for everyone. The workshops are attended by many people of mixed experience of dancing, making the sessions more open level and less like weekly classes, which are more geared towards level or experience of dancing.

There is always a fun and friendly atmosphere .A mixture of couples and single dancers attend without partners (leaders and followers). We carefully balance the number of followers and leaders and bring dance assistants to the workshop. Everyone who attends will have the choice of many people to dance with.
