Argentine Tango Workshop

Argentine tango is a dance steeped with a long history, traditions and culture from Argentina which has developed from a variety of styles in different eras. This is a highly improvisational dance with emphasis on matching steps to a feeling of the music and non-verbally communicating with a partner through the physical connection made in the embrace.

These Argentine Tango workshops in Preston are taught by famed international dance instructor and Argentine Tango expert Bill Reeder. Bill is one of the very few argentine tango instructors in the North west. He has experience as a professional dance instructor with over 25years teaching, judging competitions and examining and has been a member of the council for U.K.A Dance Assocaiation. Bill has trained many dancers in Argentine Tango, from new dancers, beginners, medallists, demonstrators and competitors.

These workshops in Preston are the place to learn authentic Tango. These Argentine tango workshops include detailed explanations of the embraces, connecting to partner, using energy to control balance and correct techniques. This tango workshop covers the character of Tango, Milonga, Vals and Nuevo Tango. You will learn many steps from this workshop you can practice at home, dance socials or on holiday at a Milonga. An understanding of Cadencia, Cortes, leading/following and figures. Argentine Tango can be danced anywhere; from the streets of Buenos Aires or the more available options the streets of Blackburn, Bolton, Blackpool or Preston!

There is always a fun and friendly atmosphere. A mixture of couples and single dancers attend without partners (leaders and followers). We carefully balance the number of followers and leaders and bring dance assistants to the workshop.  Everyone who attends will have the choice of many people to dance with.
